Ooh La La!

Claudine does it yet again. She presents a French classic in such a stylish manner (and plate)! Her "French Macaroons" (left photo) look so tempting and scrumptious, with the recipe coming from Martha Stewart's Baking Handbook (right photo). Not to be confused with American Coconut Macaroons, these French treats are crispy on the outside, light and airy inside, due to the luscious Swiss Meringue Buttercream! Bon apetit!

Tender, Cakey Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Elaine continues the Chocolate Chip brigade with these Cakey Chocolate Chip Cookies from Martha's Cookies book (page 198). They look so tender and delicious - and beautifully presented. All that's needed is a big glass of ice cold milk! Who could resist?

Citrus Cookies

Mike bakes up a batch of Lemon-glazed Candied Orange cookies - a modification from the June issue of Martha Stewart Living magazine's "Cookie of the Month". In place of candied ginger, as the recipe calls for, he substituted candied orange peels that were on hand. The best part (and most fun) was the drizzling of the icing!

Old Fashioned Goodness

Mike has been in the kitchen once again! His Friday treat for his co-workers were these delicious old fashioned sugar cookies.
Inspired by the recipe found in Martha Stewart Cookies, Mike went a step further adding adding candied orange peel, lemon/lime/orange zests and oils. Martha used this recipe in her recent Style Network companion special to the cookie book.
The extra crunchy sugar coating is made with sanding sugar, a brush of water and more sanding sugar before you bake.
Mike noted that he even made his own candied orange peel for these cookies. Congratulations Mike on another excellent cookie!

Thumbs Up!

It looks as though the "Cookie Master" is at it again with another delicious treat from the Martha Stewart Cookie book! Mike sent us a photo of these incredible thumbprint cookies (recipe on page 278 of the cookie book). If you ask us, these would great with a tall glass of cold, cold milk! We're giving these cookies a true thumbs up!

Lemon Mandeleines

Mike turned to page 190 of the "Cookie Book" when it came time to make cookies with a french flair. These tender, lemon flavored Mandeleines are great with an afternoon cup of tea (or coffee). Mike has easily become a master cookie baker!

Brownie, Anyone?

Mike has been in the kitchen making some wonderful brownies for his colleauges.

The Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies on page 268 in the Martha Stewart Cookies book look rich and wonderful.

Not to mention the Coconut Swirl Brownies on page 274. These are baked to perfection!
